How to View and Sign Your Documents Through DocuSign

Skylight Lending uses DocuSign to send important documents for your review and signature. Here's a simple step-by-step guide to help you through the process.

Secure & encrypted
4 simple steps

Please read every document carefully before signing

Documents sent through DocuSign are legally binding. Take the time to read every section thoroughly before applying your signature. If anything is unclear or you have questions, contact us at (866) 516-4990 before signing.

Step-by-Step Guide
01

Open the DocuSign Email

You will receive an email from DocuSign on behalf of Skylight Lending with a secure link to your document. Click the "Review Document" button in the email to open it in your web browser.

The email will come from docusign.net — check your spam folder if you don't see it
The link is unique to you and secured by DocuSign's encryption
Do not share this link with anyone else
02

Review the Document

Once the document is open, read through it carefully from beginning to end. Verify that all details — including your name, address, agreement terms, and any figures — are accurate and complete.

If you notice any errors or have questions about any section of the document, do not sign yet. Contact us at (866) 516-4990 or Support@skylightlending.com and we will assist you before you proceed.
03

Sign the Document

When you are ready to sign, click the yellow "Sign Here" tag where indicated. DocuSign will open a signature window — you have three options for how to apply your signature:

Option A — Use a Predefined Style

DocuSign will display your name in a default signature style. Verify your full name and initials are correct, then select "Change Style" if you'd like to choose a different style from the panel. Once you're happy with your selection, click "Adopt and Sign".

Option B — Draw Your Signature

Select the "Draw" tab in the signature window. Use your mouse, touchscreen finger, or a stylus to draw your signature freehand. If you make a mistake, click "Clear" to start over. This option works best on a touchscreen device or tablet.

Option C — Upload an Image

Select the "Upload" tab and browse to an image of your signature saved on your device. Once uploaded you can resize, reposition, or rotate it using the on-screen controls.

Accepted formats: GIF, JPG, PNG, BMP — max file size 3MB
Best results: image sized 400 x 150 pixels
Note: The Draw and Upload options may not always be available — this depends on settings configured by Skylight Lending for each document.
You can sign and initial separately — you may choose different styles for each
Follow all on-screen prompts to complete every required field
Click "Finish" once all fields are completed to submit your signed document
Create a free DocuSign account to save your signature for future documents
04

Save Your Confirmation

After signing, DocuSign will send you a confirmation email with a copy of the fully signed document attached. We recommend saving this for your records.

Download and save a copy of the signed document from the confirmation email
You can also access signed documents anytime at docusign.com using the email address on file
